    tCon la historia de Drácula, el conde transilvano, Bram Stoker estableció muchas convenciones de del género de vampiros; con el vampirismo retratado como una enfermedad sobrenatural, con insinuaciones eróticas y fuerte contrastes con la moda victoriana. Así, la novela de "Drácula" sigue siendo una historia de terror clásica. Abraham "Bram" Stoker (1847-1912) fue un escritor irlandés. Su obra principal Drácula se considera una de las obras más significativas del género de terror.

Irländaren Bram Stoker livnärde sig i närmare 30 år som sekreterare till Sir Henry Irving, Storbritanniens ledande teater  och kulturperson, men är mest känd som författaren till skräckromanen "Dracula" (1887).

Surviennent alors des évènements étranges... Dracula est un personnage de fiction inventé par l'écrivain irlandais Bram Stoker en 1897. Il s'est inspiré d'un personnage historique, Vlad l'Empaleur, prince de Valachie (région de l'actuelle Roumanie) au XVe siècle. Dracula est un personnage complexe, qui reprend l'association désir sexuel/mort, et questionne sur les limites entre la bête et l'homme ou encore le Bien et le Mal. Dracula est aujourd'hui un véritable mythe que le cinéma a contribué à amplifier.
